Actor Shruti Haasan had recently given voice for the upcoming Telugu crime documentary Silent Screams: The Lost Girls of Telangana that sheds light on deeply disturbing and often unheard stories.

While narrating the documentary, the actor-singer shared that she felt an overwhelming sense of responsibility for the project.

She explained, "When I heard these stories, I felt an overwhelming responsibility to be part of telling them. ‘Silent Screams’ is not just about what happened, it’s about what continues to happen in the lives of those affected. This is a conversation we cannot afford to postpone. We owe it to every woman who has been silenced."

With her narration, Shruti Haasan hopes to use her voice and platform to amplify stories that must be heard, supporting a meaningful conversation around a critical social issue.

The actor was last seen in Rajinikanth's Coolie, directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, which hit theatres last year in August. She was a part of an ensemble cast in the action thriller which included Nagarjuna, Soubin Shahir, Upendra, Shruti Haasan, Sathyaraj, Rachita Ram with Aamir Khan and Pooja Hegde in special appearances. Up next, she has Mysskin's Train where she stars alongside Vijay Sethupathi and Narain. She is also a part of Salaar Part 2: Shouryanga Parvam.
