On Thursday, we reported about actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna getting married at a private function in Udaipur. A grand wedding reception is reportedly set to take place on March 04, Wednesday, in Hyderabad. Just days ahead of their reception, the couple has personally met Prime Minister Narendra Modi and invited him for the function.

In pictures that are shared on social media, Vijay and Rashmika can be seen interacting with Modi. The wedding function has been nicknamed VIROSH.

The couple have also invited Amit Shah, Minister of Home Affairs, to their reception. They presented Amit Shah with a Lord Ganesh statue made of silver and interacted with the Minister.

Their meetings with the two most powerful BJP figures took place some days before their wedding in Udaipur.

Modi has extended his greetings to them days before their wedding. In an official letter, the PM called it "a pleasure" to receive the invitation to the marriage, and he described it as "the beginning of a new, beautiful chapter in the lives of Vijay and Rashmika." He also added, "Neither Vijay, nor Rashmika is new to scripts in their films. But this divinely scripted chapter of their real lives, filled with love and affection, will surely outshine the magic they have created on the silver screen."

Vijay Deverakonda is known to be an admirer of the Prime Minister. On the politician's birthday in September last year, he took to social media to wish him. Back then, he wrote, "Happy 75th Birthday to our honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi garu. One powerhouse of a man, filled with energy and always on a mission. May you be healthy and filled with energy for many many more years sir. Biggest hugs and my respects."
