Actors Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna are all set to tie the knot on Thursday in Udaipur. The pre-wedding celebrations have begun in full swing, with the sangeet ceremony turning into a lively musical night filled with memorable songs from their own films.
The couple, fondly called “Virosh” by fans, danced along with their close friends and family members as popular tracks from their hit films played through the evening. Songs from Geetha Govindam and Dear Comrade, in which Vijay and Rashmika shared crackling on-screen chemistry, were among the highlights of the night.
Adding to the nostalgic vibe, 'Kalyani Vachaa Vachaa' from The Family Star, starring Vijay alongside Mrunal Thakur, was also played during the celebrations. However, the biggest crowd-puller of the night turned out to be the viral 'Feelings' song from Pushpa: The Rise, which had everyone shaking a leg on the dance floor.
Apart from Telugu chartbusters, a few popular Hindi songs were also part of the playlist, making the evening a colorful blend of music and dance. Sources say the couple opted for an intimate sangeet, inviting only their closest friends and family members, while a grand reception is being planned separately for film industry colleagues and other celebrities.
Several close associates from the film fraternity have already reached Udaipur to attend the wedding. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga, who shares a strong bond with Vijay, arrived on Wednesday morning. Actress Kalyani Priyadarshan, known for her work in Malayalam, Tamil, and Telugu films and said to be close to Rashmika, was also spotted at the venue. Director Vamsi Paidipally, though he hasn’t collaborated with the couple professionally, reportedly attended due to his personal closeness with them.
The wedding festivities began earlier with a traditional Haldi ceremony on Wednesday morning. The Mehendi function is scheduled for the evening, followed by the main wedding ceremony on Thursday.
Interestingly, the marriage will be conducted in two traditions — a Telugu wedding ceremony representing Vijay’s heritage and a Kodava ceremony honouring Rashmika’s family customs. Both rituals are set to take place on Thursday, marking a beautiful union of cultures.
With music, dance, and heartfelt moments already setting the tone, the Vijay–Rashmika wedding has become one of the most talked-about celebrity celebrations of the year.
