Recently, we reported about Prithviraj Sukumaran playing the antagonist in director SS Rajamouli's film Varanasi, co-starring Mahesh Babu and Priyanka Chopra. The actor has been training extensively in the gymnasium to prepare for his character in the film. When he recently dropped a workout still, for example, it even grabbed the headlines.

Earlier this Tuesday, he took to his Instagram Stories and wrote, "End of a schedule that I've worked immensely hard for! Cheat meal well earned! See you in theatres April 7th 2027!" He also wrote Varanasi with a hashtag and thanked the film's producer KL Narayana, presumably for providing him with the meal. From the picture that he shared on his Instagram space, the meal appears to be prawn biriyani.

Prithviraj Sukumaran is known for preparing rigorously for his film characters. It is worth noting that he followed a restricted diet to be in shape for his character in director Blessy's Aadujeevitham not once but multiple times.

Initially, he became so lean to shoot certain portions on the desert abroad, only for the production to face hurdles due to COVID restrictions. However, the actor underwent the same physical transformation once again to fit the part of a Malayali who goes to the Middle East and undergoes a horrific case of labour exploitation.

Coming back to Varanasi, the actor recently told Collider that Kumbha's wheelchair is an extension of the character's personality. Calling Kumbha a "a very dangerous man who's just physically incapacitated," Prithviraj said that the character's "mind works in very, very unpredictable, dangerous ways."

Prithviraj made his Telugu debut with a role in Police Police, written and directed by Manmohan Challa. He returned many years later to Telugu cinema with Salaar: Part 1 – Ceasefire, co-starring Prabhas and directed by Prashanth Neel.
