Vijay Deverakonda and his wife Rashmika Mandanna are sharing screen space in Ranabaali. Following their marriage, the couple resumed shooting for the film and recently wrapped up a key schedule in Anantapur, Andhra Pradesh. On the occasion, Vijay expressed his heartfelt gratitude to the people of Rayalaseema for the love and support they showered on him.
Ranabaali stars Vijay Deverakonda and Rashmika Mandanna in the lead roles and is directed by Rahul Sankrityan. The film is being mounted on a grand scale by Mythri Movie Makers, while T-Series is presenting the project. Producers Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar are backing the film with a lavish budget. Ranabaali is slated for a worldwide release on September 11.
The recently concluded Anantapur schedule turned out to be a memorable one for the team. During the shoot, local residents and fans gave a warm welcome to Vijay and Rashmika. Fans even organised bike rallies to express their admiration for Vijay. He later met his fans from Rayalaseema at a special gathering, where he said that every time he visits the region for a shoot, it feels like coming back home. Vijay added that he has always carried a 'Seema feeling' within him. The schedule ended on an emotional note, leaving the team touched by the affection they received.
In the film, Vijay Deverakonda will be seen as a warrior named Ranabaali, while Rashmika Mandanna essays the role of Jayamma. Set between 1854 and 1878 during British rule, the film is based on real historical events from the 19th century. Ranabaali is being made as a grand pan-India project.
