.The Geeth Saini starrer Kanya Kumari, which had a theatrical release three weeks ago, is now available for streaming. Earlier today, the film began streaming simultaneously on two OTT platforms: Aha and Prime Video.

Billed as an ‘organic love story,’ Kanya Kumari told the story of two young lovers who grew up in similar circumstances but with different ambitions. While the young boy (debutant Sreecharan Rachakonda) is a simple-minded farmer, content with his village life, the girl (Geeth Saini) is educated and harbours ambitions of a high-profile job and living in a big city. Geeth Saini is known for her work in 2021 film Pushpaka Vimanam, which also starred Anand Deverakonda. 

While the first teaser of the film was unveiled in January 2024, the film was stuck in the production stage for a long time.  Kanya Kumari was finally released on August 27, after Madhu Shalini came onboard as the presenter. A few days later, Bunny Vas, who also distributed the recent boxoffice hit Little Hearts, joined the film as a distributor.

The rustic love story was written, produced and directed by Srujan Attada.  Ravi Nidamarthy has composed music for the film. Naresh Adupa is the editor. The cinematography is helmed by Shiva Gajula and Haricharan K. The film was bankrolled under Radical Pictures banner.
