The team of upcoming romantic drama Kanya Kumari held a pre-release event for their film on Monday. On the occasion, Bunny Vas spoke about his onboarding the project as a distributor. A few days ago, Madhu Shalini had joined the film as a presenter.
Addressing the media, Bunny Vas said, “It is a great thing for Madhu Shalini to invest in movies after earning money from movies. I felt like supporting such a good team. It is a very honest movie. The director has presented it well with a lighter treatment. I liked the way it tells a love story with the crops. The screenplay is is very beautiful. This is the best pair I have seen in recent times.”
Madhu Shalini said on the occasion, “I have a lot of faith in this film. When I saw Kanya Kumari, I felt this would be the best film to start my journey as a presenter. After hearing how much the director struggled to get this film made, I felt like I would have been a waste of my time in the industry if I couldn’t do at least this.”
Kanya Kumari features Geeth Saini and Sricharan Rachakonda in lead roles. The trailer of the film was released four days ago. The film has been a long time in the making. Ravi Nidamarthy has composed music for the film. Naresh Adupa is the editor. The cinematography is helmed by Shiva Gajula and Haricharan K.
Written, directed and produced by Srujan Attada under Radical Pictures, the film is set to release on August 27. Upon its release, Kanya Kumari will clash against Sundarakanda, another film with romantic layers that stars Nara Rohit, Virti Vaghnani and Sridevi Vijaykumar.
Geeth Saini was earlier seen in Pushpaka Vimanam. Meanwhile, Sricharan makes his acting debut with the love story.
