Pawan Kalyan has officially wrapped up his shoot for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. The film, directed by Harish Shankar, has been one of the most talked-about projects in the actor’s career, bringing the duo together after their blockbuster Gabbar Singh in 2012.
Confirming the update, Raashii Khanna shared a selfie clicked by Kalyan himself from the sets. Posting the picture, which also featured the producers and team members, she wrote: “It’s a wrap for Pawan Kalyan garu for Ustaad Bhagat Singh. It has been amazing sharing this film with him, a true honour and a memory I’ll always cherish.”
The upcoming action drama stars Pawan Kalyan as a tough cop, with Sreeleela and Raashii Khanna in the female leads. Makers had earlier released a special poster of Pawan Kalyan mid-dance teasing an energetic song. With Kalyan’s portions now complete, the unit will soon finish the remaining scenes.
Backed by Mythri Movie Makers, Ustaad Bhagat Singh has music by Devi Sri Prasad, who is reuniting with the actor-director duo once again. The technical team also includes cinematographer Ayananka Bose, editor Ujjwal Kulkarni, and production designer Anand Sai.
Interestingly, the film was initially announced as an adaptation of Vijay’s Tamil hit Theri, but was later reshaped into an original narrative. While the storyline has been kept under wraps, early posters and updates have hinted at a stylised cop drama with Harish Shankar’s signature energy.
Pawan Kalyan, meanwhile, has his most-awaited project in the pipeline, They Call Him OG, directed by Sujeeth, slated for release on September 25. With both films in the spotlight, fans are watching closely as the actor balances cinema with his political commitments.
