Nani starrer The Paradise has been one of the most-awaited big scale Telugu films ever since its announcement. All the teaser and song releases have only amped up the hype around the film, raising intrigue about its dystopian storyline and grand execution style. However, besides Nani, the makers haven’t yet officially revealed any details about its other cast members.

On Saturday, at the pre-release event for her film Daksha, Lakshmi Manchu confirmed that her father and veteran actor Mohan Babu is playing a major role in The Paradise. Further talking about the role, Lakshmi stated, “Even at this age, he is weight-training continuously for the role, because that character requires a certain physique. No other actor his age would take such efforts for a role. However, my father still approaches any film set like a young, curious kid, be it the film helmed by a first-time director or an established filmmaker. On sets, he is a very inspiring man.”

Lakshmi also spoke about his brother Manchu Manoj’s performance in the recently-released Mirai, adding, “Manoj’s comeback is an inspiration. Everyone goes through these phases where they want to call it quits. However, to push back against all barriers and personal griefs is not an easy thing — that itself is an inspiration.”

Directed by Srikanth Odela, The Paradise also stars Raghav Juyal in a prominent role. However, there haven’t been any other official announcements from the makers about the film’s casting. Anirudh is composing music for the dystopian actioner.
