
Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas’ horror thriller Kishkindhapuri which is released on September 12. Director Srikanth Odela watched the spooky film and gave his review on social media.
Odela wrote, “Happened to watch Kishkindhapuri and what a solid horror thriller in Telugu cinema after a very long time. I was on the edge of my seat for most of the film, Koushik PSK this success belongs to you mama. B Sai Sreenivas Garu & Anupama Parameshwaran Garu are brilliant in their roles.”
Kishkindhapuri’s trailer shows a group of ghost tour guides whose typical work day turns a hellhole with a ghost that awakens from a radio station. Koushik Pegallapati, who made his directorial debut with the existential film Chaavu Kaburu Challaga, is the writer-director fo the film.
Kishkindhapuri has cinematography by Chinmay Salaskar, editing by Niranjan Devaramane, and production design by Manisha Dutt. Chaitan Bharadwaj’s background score adds to the tension.
Backed by Sahu Garapati under Shine Screens, the film’s crew has screenplay contributions from Darahas Palakollu and K Bala Ganesh, art direction by D Siva Kamesh, and creative inputs from G Kanishka.
Srikanth Odela is currently helming the shoot of Nani’s dystopian action-thriller, The Paradise, which is also backed by Shine Screens. The film is aiming for a March 2026 release. Meanwhile, Odela also has a film with Chiranjeevi in the near future.
The CE review of Kishkindhapuri observes, “Director Koushik Pegallapati displays a flair for visual styling and keeps you hooked despite playing with some familiar tropes.”
