Vijay Deverakonda seems to be on a signing spree. Even as he juggles two ambitious projects, VD13, a rural drama with Ravi Kiran Kola and VD14, a period action film with Rahul Sankrityan, reports suggest that the actor is set to collaborate next with acclaimed filmmaker Vikram K Kumar, known for his emotionally charged, concept-driven cinema.

According to industry reports, the Manam and 24 director recently narrated a story to Vijay, who was reportedly impressed enough to give his initial nod. The project is expected to be backed by UV Creations, the production house that earlier delivered the successful Taxiwaala with Vijay. An official announcement is said to be in the pipeline once the full-bound script is finalised.

Interestingly, Vikram K Kumar was earlier developing a sports drama titled Swari with Nithiin, centred on horse racing, under the same banner. The film, however, was shelved for undisclosed reasons. Buzz now suggests that elements of that concept may have evolved into his script for Vijay, though it’s unclear if Swari and this new project are connected.

If the collaboration materialises, it will mark an intriguing creative blend. Vikram K Kumar’s films often explore themes of memory, time, and emotion, while Vijay brings a distinct mix of raw energy and modern charisma to the screen. Fans are already curious to see what this combination could deliver.
