Puri Jagannadh’s upcoming film with Vijay Sethupathi, that was announced earlier this year, is one of the most anticipated Telugu projects of 2026. The buzz around the film grew manifolds when the makers announced that Tabu has joined the cast of the film.

On Monday, the makers reportedly commenced a new crucial phase of production. In this schedule, the team is planning to shoot a few big-scale action sequences as well as a couple of lavish song sequences that will bring a lot of dazzle to the film. The production house confirmed the schedule shoot in a new post on their social media page, also sharing a few BTS photos.

The film is being jointly produced by Charmme Kaur under Puri Connects and JB Narayana Rao Kondrolla of JB Motion Pictures. Billed as a pan-India project, the film will be released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.

The title announcement of the project was initially scheduled to be made in October first week, before the team postponed it in light of the Tamil Nadu stampede tragedy that occurred around then. However, the team has reportedly continued with its shoot without any major breaks.

Tentatively billed as a Puri Sethupathi, the film also stars Samyuktha and Duniya Vijay in prominent roles. Veteran actors Brahmaji and VTV Ganesh are also part of the cast. Earlier this week, the makers confirmed that they have roped in Animal fame composer Harshavardhan Rameshwar to compose music for their film. Details of other crew members are yet to be announced.

#PuriSethupathi will also mark the first time Vijay Sethupathi and Tabu will be seen sharing screen. Vijay Sethupathi has has 2 Tamil releases this year, with Ace and Thalaivan Thalaivii. Meanwhile, Tabu was last seen in the relationship drama Auron Mein Kaha Dum Tha, which released last year.
