Priyadarshi, Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, and Niharika NM play the lead roles in Mithra Mandali

The makers of Mithra Mandali unveiled their film’s trailer at a grand ceremony on Tuesday morning in Hyderabad. Besides the primary cast of Mithra Mandali, the lead team of the recent box office hit Little Hearts was present at the event too.

Interestingly enough, by the looks of it, Priyadarshi vacates the lover boy’s seats in the story for Rag Mayur and Vishni Oi whose characters are heads over heels in love with the female protagonist (played by Niharika NM). Niharika plays a spunky young woman who is seeking a beloved who will stand by her against her conservative father (VTV Ganesh) who is the local political bully. Prasad Behara too plays one of his friends who is befuddled by the rift in their friendship caused by the arrival of a girl.

But more importantly, Mithra Mandali promises to be a gag-driven comedy, more focus on its ensemble of quirky and madcap characters and one-liner jokes rather than a plot-driven narrative. The new trailer makes it clear that Mithra Mandali will feature cameos from many notable figures like Satya, Brahmanandam, and filmmaker Anudeep KV among others. Vennela Kishore, meanwhile, plays a police inspector, caught up in the poltiical cliques.

Mithra Mandali is directed by Vijayendar S. The film is being co-produced by Kalyan Manthina, Bhanu Pratapa, Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala under the banners of Sapta Aswa Media Works and Vyra Entertainments. Bunny Vas is onboard as the presenter. Cinematography and editing are helmed by Siddharth SJ and Peekay, respectively. RR Dhruvan is the music director.  Art and costumes are by Gandhi Nadikudikar and Shilpa Tanguturu.

The comedy entertainer will hit theatres on October 16, clashing at the box office against Telusu Kada and K-Ramp that will arrive on October 17 and 18, respectively.
