Priyadarshi, who scored a big hit earlier this year with Court - State vs a Nobody, is soon going to headline a comedy titled Mithra Mandali, sharing the screen with actors like Rag Mayur, Vishnu Oi, Prasad Behara and Niharika NM in Telugu debut. On Monday, the makers resumed their promotions by launching their new single, ‘Jambar Gimbar Lala.’
‘Jambar Gimbar Lala’ is a quirky and groovy dance number, catchy in its rhythm and use of diverse musical styles. RR Dhruvan, who is the music composer, has also lent his vocals to the number besides penning the quirky lyrics for the fun number. Aditi Bhavaraju, meanwhile, is the female vocalist.
The music video for ‘Jimbar Gimbar Lala,’ choreographed by Moin, is designed with a light-hearted parody-like touch, where the lead actors dance their hearts out on a lavish set with heavy middle-eastern touch, while Brahmanandam (in a special cameo) struts off in a white ensemble.
The team had earlier released two singles ‘Swecha Standuu’ and ‘Kattanduko Janaki.’
Mithra Mandali is presented by Bunny Vas under the newly-founded BV Works Banner. Meanwhile, Kalyan Manthina, Dr Vijender Reddy Teegala and Bhanu Pratapa serve as producers, bankrolling the project under Sapta Aswa Media Works, Vyra Entertainments. The film’s first teaser was released back in June, and the film was earlier scheduled to release in August, but the makers had to postpone the release because of the film workers’ strike that caused production delays.
Debutant Vijender S helms the direction. Siddharth SJ is the cinematographer and Peekay is the editor. Other key technicians include Shilpa Tanguturu as the costume designer and Gandhi Nadukudikar supervising art direction.
Upon its release on October 16, Mithra Mandali will engage in a three-way boxoffice clash, against other light-hearted entertainers like Telusu Kada and K-Ramp.
