Ram Charan, who was last seen in Shankar’s political thriller Game Changer, has plenty of hopes pinned on his next big release Peddi. Billed as a sports drama, Peddi is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and is scheduled for release in March next year.
Earlier, Ram Charan was scheduled to commence shooting for his film with Sukumar in December 2025. However, the actor has reportedly decided to give priority to all Peddi work, including finishing all shoot and dubbing work, and now plans to wrap it by up January 2025. Reportedly, the RRR actor will begin shooting for Sukumar project only in May 2026.
Ram Charan and Sukumar had previously collaborated on the 2018 film Rangasthalam, which is still remembered as one of the most powerful dramas of Telugu cinema in recent years.
Additionally, Ram Charan has also reportedly signed a film with Bollywood director Nikhil Nagesh Bhatt, known for his 2024 actioner Kill.
Billed as a rural sports drama, Peddi also features Shivarajkumar, Janhvi Kapoor and Divyenndu in the lead cast. Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru’s Vriddhi Cinemas, and presented by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings, the film also stars Jagapathi Babu. In the technical team, Peddi has R Rathnavelu helming the cinematography and Navin Nooli in charge of editing. Peddi also marks AR Rahman’s return to Telugu cinema after nearly a decade.
A few days ago, the team unveiled a special Ram Charan poster on the occasion of the actor completing 18 years in the industry. Scheduled to release on March 26, 2026, Peddi will clash at the box office against Nani starrer The Paradise.
Buchi Babu Sana is known for his acclaimed 2021 film Uppena, which won the National award.
