Manchu Manoj, who is set to make a return to the big screen with Bhairavam, has revealed that he was once in talks to star in Arjun Reddy during its initial development. In a recent interview as part of the film’s promotional campaign, Manoj said, “Racha, Autonagar Surya and Arjun Reddy are some of the films I missed out on. Arjun Reddy came to me in its initial development, I even travelled with Sandeep Vanga for a while but due to date issues, it couldn’t materialise.”

The actor said the timing didn’t align due to developments around his earlier film Potugadu, and the lead role eventually went to Vijay Deverakonda. While Racha ultimately featured Ram Charan and Auto Nagar Surya starred Naga Chaitanya, Manoj stated, “I am glad Racha with Ram Charan, he did great in the film.”

Bhairavam, directed by Vijay Kanakamedala, will hit theatres on May 30. The film is the official Telugu remake of the 2023 Tamil action drama Garudan. Manoj stars alongside Bellamkonda Sai Sreenivas and Nara Rohith, with Aditi Shankar, Anandhi and Divya Pillai playing key roles. The film is produced by KK Radha Mohan under the Sri Sathya Arts banner.

Manchu Manoj also has two other projects lined up, Mirai and Rakshak.
