The makers of Nikhil Siddhartha’s The India House fell into trouble on Wednesday as a water tank burst on the sets, flooding the entire sets and destroying equipments. Reportedly, many crew members, including an assistant cameraman, sustained severe injuries in the accident.

On Wednesday night, videos began circulating of the on-sets accident, where many crew members could be seen trying to save the equipments and minimise the damage.  The incident took place near Shamshabad on the outskirts of Hyderabad when a huge water tank, especially constructed to create a sea backdrop for the film, suddenly collapsed, flooding the sets.

On Thursday morning, the film’s director Ram Vamsi Krishna took to his X page to issue clarification. “We experienced a structural failure during a controlled water shoot yesterday. Everyone is safe and sound. Thank you for the calls and concern, there’s nothing to worry. Deep thanks to my crew for their calm, courage, and quick response,” his post read.

The India House is being presented by Ram Charan, with the film being produced by Vikram Reddy and Abhishek Agarwal under their banners UV Creations and Abhishek Agarwal Arts. The film also features Saiee M Manjrekar and Anupam Kher in the primary cast.

Nikhil Siddhartha was last seen in Appudo Ippudo Eppudo, which also starred Rukmini Vasanth in the lead.
