After registering record-breaking figures with its premiere shows and day 1 boxoffice, Hari Hara Veera Mallu had registered a massive decline in footfalls on Friday. And yet, surprisingly enough, the Pawan Kalyan starrer has showed some growth, making a slight recovery at the box office.

After collecting Rs 9.15 crore on Saturday, the film garnered approximately 11 cr on Saturday, according to early estimated by the trade tracker Sacnilk.com. That’s another 20 percent hike from its Saturday collections, which also showed 15 percent growth. The film’s gross domestic figures stand nearly at Rs 75 crore, by the end of day 4.

Besides Pawan Kalyan’s home territory Vijaywada, territories like Mahabubnagar and Kakinada have shown impressive figures, with occupancy rates standing at approximately 51 percent each.

The growth is promising, and the film will need to show minimal drop in its Monday collections in order to stay afloat at the box office. By the looks of it, Hari Hara Veera Mally’s domestic nett collections will land anywhere between Rs 90-95 crore. Also considering Vijay Deverakonda’s Kingdom is slated for a theatrical release this Thursday, the chances of HHVM continuing to register decent numbers over the next few days remain slim.

Directed by Jyothi Krisna and Krish Jagarlamudi, the Pawan Kalyan starrer was uniformly criticised for its uneven storytelling and poor VFX, which dampened the experience for most film-goers. To their credit, the makers instantly rectified the VFX work and re-released a new print in theatres on Friday itself, which is reportedly a possible reason for the film’s surprising bounceback over the weekend.

Presented by AM Rathnam, the film starred Bobby Deol as the main antagonist and Niddhi Agerwal as the female lead. The ensemble cast included appearances from stellar actors like Vennela Kishore, Sunil, Nassar, Sachin Khedekar, late Kota Srinivas Rao, Sathyaraj, Dalip Tahil, Redin Kingsley, Raghu Babu, Kabir Bedi, Makarand Deshpande and Kabir Duhan Khan among others. MM Keeravani composed music for the film.
