As Hari Hara Veera Mallu (HHVM) prepares for its long-awaited pan-Indian release on July 24, filmmaker Krish Jagarlamudi, who originally helmed the project and left later for reasons undisclosed, shared a heartfelt note on X (formerly Twitter), reflecting on the journey and offering his best wishes to the team on Tuesday.
“Now… Hari Hara Veera Mallu walks into the world. Not quietly.. but with purpose.. with the weight of history and passion behind every frame,” Krish wrote, calling it “one of my most passionate battles… not just as a director, but as an explorer of forgotten history.”
He also credited the film’s core vision to actor Pawan Kalyan and producer AM Rathnam. “Our Pawan Kalyan gaaru… an extraordinary force blessed by something far greater… His ever-burning spirit is what breathed life into #HariHaraVeeraMallu. He gave HHVM its spine, its soul, and its storm,” he said.
On the film’s producer, Krish added, “AM Ratnam garu… his ability to see big, to hold the chaos, and to build with faith… is rare. #HHVM is what it is because of his unwavering strength.”
Krish Jagarlamudi had been the initial director of the film when it began production over three years ago. However, due to reported professional or personal reasons, he exited the project. Direction was then taken over by AM Jyothi Krisna, son of producer AM Rathnam, who reportedly made substantial changes to the narrative to enhance Pawan Kalyan’s mass appeal.
At a recent press interaction, Pawan Kalyan acknowledged Krish’s contribution. “Krish Jagarlamudi brought this to me as a very good, high-concept film… I heartily thank him for his foundational work,” he said.
Hari Hara Veera Mallu, a historical action epic, stars Pawan Kalyan in the role of an outlaw-turned-hero. The film also features Bobby Deol as Aurangzeb, and Nidhhi Agerwal. It is backed by music from MM Keeravani and high-end VFX, with cinematography by Gnana Shekar VS and Manoj Paramahamsa. Produced by Mega Surya Production and presented by AM Rathnam, the film is expected to mark a significant comeback for Kalyan on the big screen.
Meanwhile, director Krish is gearing up for the release of his next, Ghaati, starring Anushka Shetty.
