Ever since it’s announcement, the Atlee-Allu Arjun project, tentatively titled AA22xA6, has continued to be in the limelight for many reasons. While Deepika Padukone was officially confirmed as part of lead cast in June, the idea of makers planning to sign 5 lead heroines for the film also led to curiosity about the film’s concept.

Now, reports are coming in that Allu Arjun will be seen playing four different roles in the film. Reportedly, all these 4 characters would be part of the same family lineage. While the storyline of the film is kept under wraps, the film has been touted to be a sci-fi actioner with heavy elements of emotional drama. 

Earlier this week, there were strong rumours of Rashmika Mandanna signing the film to play a unique role. Other female actors who are reported to have signed the film are Mrunal Thakur, Bhagyashri Borse and Janhvi Kapoor. There were also rumours about makers approaching Hollywood biggie Will Smith for the antagonist’s role. 

AA22xA6 is produced by Kalanidhimaran under the Sun Pictures banner. More details about the film’s primary cast and crew are yet to confirmed, though Sai Abhyankkar has reportedly been signed by Atlee.

AA22xA6 marks the first collaboration between Allu Arjun and Atlee. The film was launched in April in Los Angeles, with makers releasing a few BTS stills, giving a sneak peek into the film’s sci-fi driven backdrop.

At an event in Chennai held a few weeks ago, Atlee said about the project, “We are bringing in all the latest technologies. In terms of budget, that’s for the producer to disclose. My focus is on creating a visionary cinematic experience. This film is my dream, and I believe the magnum opus will make us all proud.”
