SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali to re-release as combined feature on this date

Baahubali: The Beginning, the first part of SS Rajamouli’s two-part magnum opus completes 10 years today. On the occasion, the makers made a special announcement about the film’s worldwide re-release plans later this year.

The two-part series will be released as one feature under the title ‘Baahubali: The Epic’ on October 31, SS Rajamouli announced on his X page on Thursday. 

“The beginning of many journeys. Countless memories. Endless inspiration. It’s been 10 years. Marking this special milestone with #BaahubaliTheEpic, a two-part combined film. In theatres worldwide on October 31, 2025,” his post read.

Starring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati and Anushka Shetty among many others in the lead cast, the two parts of the franchise were released in 2015 and 2017 respectively. While the first part grossed nearly 600 crores at the box office, the sequel broke all box office records, garnering approximately Rs 1800 crores globally. The film series was backed by Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni under Arka Media Works.

Baahubali: The Beginning was also the first Telugu film to win the National Award for Best Feature Film. The film was additionally the recipient for Best Special Effects. Meanwhile, Baahubali: The Conclusion, won 3 National awards two years later — Best Popular Film Providing Wholesome Entertainment, Best Special Effects, and Best Stunt Choreographer.
