We had reported yesterday that the makers of AA22xA6, the Atlee-Allu Arjun film, are reportedly in talks with Will Smith to play the antagonist’s role. Now reports are coming in that Rashmika Mandanna has joined the film’s lead cast.

Rashmika has reportedly completed her look test and body scan in Los Angeles for the film that’s billed as a sci-fi actioner. Allu Arjun and Rashmika Mandanna have famously shared screen in Sukumar’s Pushpa film franchise. However, if the reports are true, this will mark Rashmika’s first collaboration with Atlee.

In June, Deepika Padukone officially came onboard for the film. The makers had also shared an elaborate video, featuring BTS footage of Deepika prepping for the action-driven role. According to few reports, the other female actors in consideration for prominent roles are Mrunal Thakur, Jahnvi Kapoor, and Bhagyashri Borse.

AA22xA6 is being produced under Sun Pictures banner, with Kalanidhimaran serving as the producer. Details about other primary crew members are yet to be officially announced. The project was officially announced in April this year. The shoot for the film is currently underway, with the makers hoping to wrap up the shoot by late 2026.

Rashmika’s other upcoming projects include The Girlfriend, which is directed by Rahul Ravindran, and Thama, where Rashmika will be seen sharing screen with Ayushmann Khurrana and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. A few days ago, Rashmika took to her X page to announce another of her films, titled Mysaa, where she will be seen in a rustic action-driven avatar.
