Actor-director Rahul Ravindran’s father, Ravindran Narasimham, passed away a couple of days ago. The director took to X to reveal the news on Friday. He wrote, “My father, Ravindran Narasimhan, passed away the day before yesterday. Hardworking and honest, he lived a good life. You will be alive in our memories pa. Love you forever.”

The Manmadhudu 2 director also recalled a dialogue in his debut directorial, Chi La Sow. “I wrote a line in Chi La Sow from a place of second-hand empathy. It hits very differently now. ‘Nanna unnaru le, chuskuntaru, ane maata ki viluva nanna ni kolipoyina vallake telusu. (The phrase – Dad will take care, is only understood after dad passes away)’ I know it today. It leaves a vacuum that can never be filled and leaves you with feelings you can never explain in words. Thank you, pa. Love you,” he wrote.

The director’s wife, singer and dubbing artist Chinmayi Sripada also paid respects to Rahul’s father and wrote, “He has been my rock.”

On the workfront, Rahul Ravindran has The Girlfriend, starring Rashima Mandanna, which is set to be released soon.
