A few days ago, we had reported about Chiranjeevi meeting a producers’ team to discuss the ongoing film workers’ strike, where he had also promised to meet the workers’ and hear their perspective. Since then, there have been many reports about the actor meeting Federation members and giving them assurance about their wake hike demands. On Saturday, Chiranjeevi denied all such reports.

Taking to his X page, Chiranjeevi issued an official statement, saying, “It has come to my attention that some individuals claiming to be the members of the Film Federation have gone to media falsely claiming that I have met them and given an assurance that their demands regarding 30% wage hike etc. shall be met and that I will be starting shooting very soon.”Setting the record straight, Chiranjeevi added, “I have not met anyone from the federation This is an industry issue and no individual including me can give any unilateral assurances to solve any problem one way or the other.”

“Only the Film chamber as a collective will engage in discussions with all concerned and arrive at a just solution. Until such time, making such false claims is unacceptable,” he added, condemning the claims which he noted will ‘ create confusion among all stakeholders.’

Earlier this week, TFCC issued a statement, opposing the federation’s demands, and passing a 'unanimous resolution' to allow producers to hire non-union workers. Additionally, the Active Telugu Film Producers’ Guild (ATFPG) has opened applications for non-union skilled workers, allowing aspiring professionals to apply online. On Friday, honorary secretary of Telugu Film Chamber of Commerce (TFCC) SKN issued an advisory to all members, requesting them not to engage in any discussions or negotiations with the federation members without official approval.
