Happening director Anil Ravipudi took to social media to silently announce that a major update is on the way from Mega157 on August 22, marking the birthday of the film’s star Chiranjeevi. The director posted a retro clip from an old Chiranjeevi film where he signals with swagger that he is coming. Nayanthara plays the leading lady while Venkatesh is set to star in an extended cameo heightening expectations.
The recent schedule of Mega157 in Kerala has been wrapped up. The shoot of this film has been going at a brisk pace. In this schedule, key scenes of Chiranjeevi and Nayanthara have been shot. Reports suggest that Chiranjeevi plays a sports drill master named Siva Shankar Prasad for a kids school however, his character would have a past. Anil Ravipudi promised cinephiles that this film would tap into Chiranjeevi’s comical side more.
Mega157 is jointly produced by Sahu Garapati and Sushmita Konidela under the Shine Screens and Gold Box Entertainments banners and is slated for a Sankranti 2026 release. Ravipudi, who recently delivered the successful festive entertainer Sankranthiki Vasthunnam, has generated anticipation for this project.
Mega157’s technical crew includes Sameer Reddy as director of photography, Tammiraju as editor, and AS Prakash handling production design. Music is composed by Bheems Ceciroleo, with writing credits shared by S Krishna and G Adi Narayana.
