OG’s 'Firestorm' ranks No. 2 worldwide; S Thaman reveals on social media

Pawan Kalyan’s upcoming gangster drama kicks off its musical promotions with a global splash

Pawan Kalyan’s OG has ignited a new wave of excitement among cinephiles as its first single, Firestorm,’ debuted at No. 2 on the world music video charts, according to composer S Thaman. Sharing the update on social media, Thaman posted a trending chart and wrote, “NO-2 on WORLD MUSIC VIDEO CHARTS. F-I-R-I-N-G Globally.”

The track, composed by Thaman, has captured attention with its heavy beats, Japanese influences and EDM mix. It features a dynamic combination of singers including Thaman himself, Tamil actor Silambarasan TR (Simbu), rapper Raja Kumari, Nazeeruddin, Deepak Blue, and Bharathraj. Actor Arjun Das even contributes 'dialogue vocals,' adding to its the teaser’s hype.

The music video’s response has further fuelled anticipation for OG, a gangster-action drama written and directed by Sujeeth. Fans have hailed the track’s pulsating energy and visually striking presentation, calling it the perfect launchpad for the film’s promotions.

Produced by DVV Danayya and Kalyan Dasari under DVV Entertainment, OG stars Pawan Kalyan as Ojas Gambheera, a gangster in exile who returns to Mumbai for a high-stakes mission. The film also features Priyanka Arul Mohan, Emraan Hashmi, Arjun Das, Prakash Raj, Shaam and Sriya Reddy.

With its release set for 25 September 2025, OG marks Pawan Kalyan’s next big-screen outing after an underwhelming Hari Hara Veera Mallu. The film is, as of now, set to clash with Nandamuri Balakrishna’s Akhanda 2.
