It’s 2015 again for PK fans. After more than a decade, Pawan Kalyan has been taking a few interviews to promote Hari Hara Veera Mallu, which is storming screens on July 24. The actor has shied away from promotions and press interaction related to films but for the period action drama, the star is leaving no stone unturned. After a press meet, a pre-release event and now with these interviews, fans of the actor have been relishing his new-found outwardness.

During a recent interaction with TV9, Pawan said, “Cinema will always be a part of my life. But since I don’t have to act all the time, I will produce more films, given today’s challenging times. I would like to re-activate my banner, PK Creative Works.” He also talked about HHVM’s plot adding, “The first part of the film has a travel adventure zone but towards the fag end, the film has rebellion against the taxes against following Hindu Dharma back then. We didn’t glorify anything, but you will see it.”

Talking about his political life and making socially conscious films, Pawan stated, “Just by making a film like Leader (Sekhar Kammula’s film), you can’t win votes. In cinema, if you make such subjects, people will give applause but that doesn’t translate to political victory. I have been committed to my journey. Even though I felt I would be trampled in politics, I still went ahead, that’s my choice.”

Set against the backdrop of the Mughal Empire, the HHVM is about Pawan Kalyan’s Veera Mallu, a rebellious outlaw tasked initially with stealing the Kohinoor diamond, who later becomes a saviour figure opposing Mughal rule under Aurangzeb (Bobby Deol).
