Indhra Ram will be making his debut with the upcoming crime drama Chaurya Paatam. Also starring Payal Radhakrishna in the lead, the film marks Trinadha Rao Nakkina’s entry into film production. Ahead of the film’s release, Indhra Ram interacted with the media to discuss the film, his journey so far, and more.

Indhra Ram shared that the film’s storyline comes from the life of screenwriter Karthik’s father, who worked in the police department. He adds, “There was a bank on one street, and a room was taken on the opposite street, and a tunnel was dug from there to enter the bank. We fictionalised the events a bit to write the script for Chaurya Paatam.” The debutant actor praised art director Nagendra for his work, stating, “There is no reference to make a film like this. Nagendra took a lot of care to create the tunnels in this film. This is a different world.”

Indhra Ram also revealed how it was Vijay Sethupathi who advised the team to release the film in Tamil. He said, “Vijay Gaaru saw the teaser, spoke to me for half an hour, and suggested we release the film in Tamil. With his encouragement, we are actually doing it.” The debutant actor states that the success of small films like Court and Committee Kurrollu keeps him hopeful about Chaurya Paatam. “Those films were also made by new people and achieved good success. I am confident that Chaurya Paatam will also be a similar success,” he concludes.

Directed by Nikhil Gollamari, Chaurya Paatam will clash at the boxoffice against Sarangapani Jathakam and Sodara.
