The trailer of Sarangapani Jathakam, the upcoming comedy drama starring Priyadarshi, was released on Tuesday. Directed by Mohanakrishna Indraganti, the film explores themes of astrology, fate, and self-realisation through situational humour and eccentric characters.
In the trailer, Priyadarshi portrays Sarangapani, a man with a strong belief in astrology who begins experiencing bizarre dreams that disrupt his daily life. As a result, various aspects of his existence, including his marriage, family dynamics, and friendships, begin to take unexpected turns. The narrative hints at a character-driven story centred on personal growth, supported by a diverse ensemble cast featuring Vennela Kishore, Harsha Chemudu, VK Naresh, Avasarala Srinivas, Raja Chembolu, Tanikella Bharani, among others.
Saranganapani Jathakam is scheduled for a theatrical release on April 25. The film is produced by Sivalenka Krishna Prasad under the banner of Sridevi Movies, marking the third collaboration between Indraganti and the producer after Gentleman (2016) and Sammohanam (2018).
Roopa Koduvayur plays the female lead opposite Priyadarshi. The technical crew includes music composer Vivek Sagar, cinematographer PG Vinda, and editor Marthand K Venkatesh. According to the makers, the film features an entirely Telugu-speaking cast. Priyadarshi was last seen in the courtroom drama Court, which got immense acclaim.
