We had earlier reported that the Prabhas-starrer The Raja Saab was scheduled for a theatrical release in April 2025. However, the release for the film was presumed to be indefinitely postponed, given the lack of any official updates from the producers even as the release date approached. However, on Tuesday, the film’s director, Maruthi, gave some clarity on the film’s release plans.

Replying to a fan’s query on his X page, Maruthi shared that they are waiting for the final delivery of the VFX output. He stated, “Many CGI studios are involved in our film; so far the output received from a few studios is exciting. Expecting the same from other studios. Once those are verified, makers will announce the release date. Be a little patient; everyone is giving their best to match your expectations.”

In a separate post, the director shared more details on the shoot status. “We are left with a little talkie part and songs. If songs shoot will complete, singles also will entertain you,” he noted.

Besides Prabhas, the horror-comedy also stars Malavika Mohanan and Nidhi Agerwal in significant roles. The film is produced under the People Media Factory banner.
