Shankar Pictures bags theatrical rights for Tamannaah’s Odela 2

The upcoming thriller also stars Vasishta M Sinha and Hebah Patel

Tamannah Bhatia is gearing up for her next big Telugu release with Odela 2, which is slated to hit theatres on April 17. On Monday, the Odela 2 makers announced that the theatrical rights of their film have been bagged by Shankar and Suredy Reddy Kovvuri of Shankar Pictures.

Shankar Pictures has acquired rights for both Telugu states as well as overseas distribution of Odela 2. Besides Tamannaah, the upcoming thriller stars Vasistha M Sinha and Hebah Patel in significant roles. While the first teaser of the film was released in February, the makers are planning to release the trailer tomorrow, on March 8.

Odela 2 is an official sequel to the 2022 OTT film Odela Railway Station. The film is directed by Ashok Teja, while the scriptwriter Sampath Nandi has been credited with ‘direction supervision’ as well. Ajaneesh Loknath is the music composer for the film. The film is produced by under the banners of Madhu Creations and Sampath Nandi Teamworks.

Tamannaah’s last Telugu release was the 2023 film Bholaa Shankar, where she shared screen with Chiranjeevi and Keerthy Suresh.
