Simbaa, the Anasuya Bharadwaj starrer sci-fi thriller that had a theatrical release four weeks ago, is now gearing up for its OTT premiere. The film will begin streaming on Aha from Friday, September 6 onwards.

The streaming platform shared the update on their X page, adding the caption about the film, “When the planet cries out for help, heroes rise!” Written by Sampath Nandi, Simbaa revolves around three righteous and conscientious people (played by Anasuya, Anish Kuruvilla and Srinath Maganti) whose lives are connected in the most uncanny of manners, leading them down a path of violence and vengeance. In our review for the film, we had written, “Simbaa’s audacity is undone by its incompetent filmmaking. This film needed a more skilled filmmaker and far cleverer screenwriting—something that could walk the thin line between high-concept and low-brow storytelling. Unfortunately, it has too many flaws, from the shoddy filmmaking to the often stilted and awkward dialogue.”

Directed by Murali Manohar Reddy, the film also starred Jagapathi Babu, Vashisht Simha, and Gauthami in prominent roles.
