Prabhudheva has joined the sets of Kannappa, where he will be working as a choreographer. The makers of the film made this announcement on Monday morning. The announcement reads, "Legendary choreographer Prabhu Deva joins the sets of Kannappa in New Zealand to bring his unparalleled dance expertise. Stay tuned as we uncover the electrifying dance moves he's set to unleash". The makers have also shared a photo of Prabhudheva from what looks like a field in New Zealand.  

Kannappa is a mythological magnus opus starring Vishnu Manchu in the lead role. The film also stars Preity Mukundhan, Mohanlal, Sarathkumar, Brahmanandam, Madhoo, Devaraj, Mohan Babu, Mukesh Rishi, Aishwariyaa Bhaskaran, Kaushal Manda and Raghu Babu. Prabhas is set to appear in a cameo in the film. Kannappa is written and directed by Mukesh Kumar Singh. While Manchu Vishnu has been credited with the film's screenplay, the film's story has been written by Parachuri Gopal Krishna, G Nageshwara Reddy, Eshwar Reddy and Thota Prasad. Mani Sharma and Stephen Devassy are jointly composing the film's music. Sheldon Chau is the cinematographer of the film, with editing provided by Anthony. Kannappa is produced by AVA Entertainment and 24 Frames Factory.
