Simbaa trailer: Anusuya Bharadwaj plays a socially conscientious teacher in the upcoming thriller-drama

The makers of Simbaa released their film’s official trailer at a grand ceremony on Wednesday, also announcing the release date. Simbaa, which stars Anusuya Bharadwaj in the lead role, will have a theatrical release on August 9.

Simbaa promises to be a socio-political thriller drama that delves into the themes of deforestation and environmental pollution, telling the story of a socially conscientious school teacher (Anusuya Bharadwaj) who somehow becomes embroiled in a murder case. Anusuya Bharadwaj was recently seen in the period drama Razakar

Simbaa also stars Jagapathi Babu, Gowtami, Vasista Simha, Srinath Maganti, Divi Vadthya and Anish Kuruvilla in significant roles. Sampath Nandi has penned the script. Sampath is also producing the film in collaboration with Dasari Rajender Reddy under the banners of Sampath Nandi Teamworks and Raj Dasari Productions. Murli Manohar Reddy helms the direction. The cinematography and editing are by Krishna Prasad and Tammiraju, respectively. Krishna Saurabh, meanwhile, is the music director. 

Upon it’s release, Simbaa will clash at the box office against the Niharika Konidela production Committee Kurrollu.
