The makers of Revu, directed by Harinath Puli, released a theatrical trailer for the film on Saturday. The film is billed as a rural revenge drama that tackles the story of a man who rides a small fishing boat for a living. Dealing with caste and rural politics, the film pits the protagonist against the higher authorities in the village, who bring a bigger boat that could kill his livelihood. 

Revu stars Vamsi Ram Pendyal, Ajay, Swathi Bheemireddy, and Epuri Hari in the lead roles. Produced by Dr. Murali Ginjupalli and Naveen Parupalli under the banners of Samhith Entertainments and Parupalli Productions, respectively, the film is set for its theatrical release on August 23rd. The trailer was launched on Friday, with prominent producer Dil Raju attending as the chief guest.

While speaking at the trailer launch, Dil Raju said, "Newcomers always experiment with new faces. However, 99% of such experiments fail, with only 1% succeeding. Murali has worked with new faces in this film. The concept of Revu seems good. Rambabu and Prabhu are very close to me. They talked about this film, and since they are associated with it, I wanted to take the lead in promoting the movie. Until now, they have watched the film and written reviews. Now, they have made the film, so I will write the review after watching it."
