Filmmaker Hanu Raghavpudi pens a gratitude note as his debut Andala Rakshasi completes 12 years

Andala Rakshasi, the debut film of renowned writer-director Hanu Raghavapudi, completes 12 years of its release today. The romantic comedy, which released on August 20, 2012, marked the acting debuts of Lavanya Tripathi, Rahul Ravindran, and Naveen Chandra. On the occasion, the filmmaker penned a gratitude note.

Taking to his X page, Hanu Raghavapudi penned, “Firsts are always special, but this is even more special. 12 years have passed, but the emotions of Andala Rakshasi remain fresh in our hearts. More than just a story, it’s a piece of my heart that you all continue to cherish.” The filmmaker concluded his note by thanking the audience for "embracing it so warmly & giving it a special place in all your hearts."

Hanu Raghavapudi is most renowned for his 2022 film Sita Ramam, starring Dulquer Salmaan and Mrunal Thakur, which emerged as a massive box office success. Reportedly, the filmmaker is making his next film with Prabhas and Mrunal Thakur.
