Ahead of their film’s release, the makers of Simbaa completed its censorship formalities. The Anusuya Bhardwaj-Jagapathi Babu starrer has received a U/A certificate from the Censor Board.

The official trailer for Simbaa came out two weeks ago. The film, directed by Murali Manohar, promises to be a sci-fi crime thriller dealing with the subject of deforestation and touching upon other socio-political themes. The film’s ensemble cast includes actors like Gowtami, Vasista Simha, Anish Kuruvilla, and Kabhir Singh.

On Tuesday, the makers had released the video of their second single ‘Prema Geema,’ which featured Divi Vadthya and Animal-fame Srinath Maganti driving around Hyderabad streets. The film’s music is composed by Krishna Saurabh.

Produced by Sampath Nandi and Dasari Rajendara Reddy under the banners of Sampath Nandi Team Works and Raj Dasari Productions, the film is slated to release on August 9, clashing with Niharika Konidela’s production Committee Kurrollu. Sampath Nandi is also the writer of the film.
