Family Star wraps censor formalities

Family Star stars Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles

The makers of Family Star on Thursday have announced that their film has wrapped censor formalities and has been granted a U/A certificate. The film’s runtime is also locked at 2 hours and thirty minutes. Family Star is written and directed by Parasuram Petla. The film stars Vijay Devarakonda and Mrunal Thakur in the lead roles. Rohini Hattangadi, Abhinaya MG and Vasuki Anand play key roles in the film. Family Star marks the second collaboration between Vijay Devarakonda and Parasuram Petla, who have previously worked together on Geetha Govindam (2018). Gopi Sundar, who has composed music for Geetha Govindam, will also be reuniting with Parasuram and Vijay for Family Star.

Family Star is Mrunal’s third Telugu film after Sita Ramam (2022) and Hi Nanna (2023). The film is produced by Raju and Shirish under the Sree Venkateshwara Creations banner. KU Mohanan is the cinematographer of the film, with editing done by Kotagiri Venkateshwara Rao. The film is hitting theatres on April 5.
