Skanda, the Telugu film starring Ram Pothineni in the lead role, hit the theatres on September 28. Within four days of its release, the film has grossed 43. 9 cr at the worldwide box office.

Written and directed by Boyapati Sreenu Skanda also stars Sreeleela and Saiee Manjrekar. Ajay Purkar, Sharath Lohithaswa, Raja Daggubati, Srikanth Meka and Gautami, among others

The film is produced by Srinivasaa Chitturi under his banner Srinivasaa Silver Screen. Pawan Kalyan is a presenter of the film, while Zee Studios South is its co-producer. Thaman composed the music for the film, with cinematography by Santosh Detake and editing by Tammiraju. The film opened to negative reviews at the box office. 

"The second half of Skanda, where the plot slowly unravels, tests the patience of the audience. The rest of the film then isn't a pay-off as much as it is a turn off" reads the CE review of the film.
