Mahesh Babu is set to join the regular shoot of his upcoming film, tentatively titled SSMB28, on Wednesday.

The film's production will resume in Hyderabad on Wednesday. According to the makers, Mahesh Babu will sport a rugged avatar with long hair and a beard.

The upcoming film is directed by Trivikram Srinivas and backed by S Radhakrishna under Haarika & Hassine Creations banner. SSMB28 will mark the third collaboration of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas after Athadu and Khaleja. 

The film has Pooja Hegde as the female lead and is billed as a family-action entertainer. Trivikram has also penned the script. SSMB28 will be edited by national award-winning technician Navin Nooli, while the team also comprises art director AS Prakash, music director S Thaman and cinematographer PS Vinod.
