Golden Globes 2023: AR Rahman congratulates MM Keeravani and team RRR for Naatu Naatu

As RRR's Naatu Naatu bagged the Golden Globe in the Best Original Song category, Oscar Award-winning musician AR Rahman congratulated its music composer MM Keeravani and director SS Rajamouli.

Taking to Twitter, Rahman wrote, “Incredible ..Paradigm shift. Congrats Keeravani Garu from all Indians and your fans! Congrats SS Rajamouli Garu and the whole RRR team!” (Sic)

The song, composed by MM Keeravani, bet other nominees including Taylor Swift’s Carolina from Where the Crawdads Sing, 'Ciao Papa' from Pinocchio, Lady Gaga’s 'Hold My Hand' from Top Gun: Maverick, and Rihanna's 'Lift Me Up' from Black Panther: Wakanda Forever.

Naatu Naatu has lyrics penned by Chandrabose, while Rahul Sipligunj and Kaala Bhairavaa lent their voices. Prem Rakshith choreographed the song, which won appreciation for its electrifying beats and dance moves across the world. Videos of the audience celebrating, cheering and dancing to the song during the film's screening in America have doing rounds for months now. Even earlier this week, during the film's screening at the TCL Chinese Theatre IMAX, the song was received with great enthusiasm with many patrons rushing to dance in front of the screen.The film stars Jr NTR and Ram Charan in the lead roles.
