Following the death of veteran Telugu actor Ghattamaneni Siva Rama Krishna Murthy, popularly known as Superstar Krishna, actor Rajinikanth took to his Twitter to express his condolences.

He wrote, "The demise of Krishna garu is a great loss to the Telugu film industry…working with him in 3 films are memories I will always cherish. My heartfelt condolences to his family…may his soul rest in peace."

Rajinikanth and Krishna acted in three Telugu films--Annadammula Savaal (1978), Ram Robert Rahim (1980), and Iddaru Asadhyule (1979).

Krishna was admitted to the hospital following a cardiac arrest on Monday, and died due to multi-organ failure on Tuesday at a private hospital in Hyderabad. He was 79.  He is survived by his children Manjula, Padmavathi, Priyadarshini, and actor Mahesh Babu.

The actor strode the Telugu film industry canvas like a colossus for over six decades not only as a great actor but as a producer's favourite, and an iconic director and producer. He acted in over 350 films. Meanwhile, tributes are pouring in for Krishna from his colleagues in the film industry, fans and well-wishers.
