The shooting of Vijay Devarakonda's upcoming pan-Indian project, Liger, has resumed earlier today, the team has officially confirmed. The actor took to social media profiles to share a picture in which he can be seen sitting shirtless in a boxing ring. "Blood. Sweat. Violence. Liger shoot resumes," the actor captioned the picture.

Directed by Puri Jagannadh, Liger is a joint production between the filmmaker's production house, Puri Connects and Karan Johar's Dharma Productions. The sports-based actioner, which has the tagline 'saala cross-breed' entered production in January, 2020, and has been delayed due to the pandemic. Earlier this year, Vijay Devarakonda refuted rumours about the film's straight-to-streaming release and ensured that the film will be releasing in theatres.

The film stars Ananya Panday as the female lead and also features Ramya Krishnan and Ronit Roy in supporting roles.

Meanwhile, Vijay was last seen in the 2020-film World Famous Lover and also appeared in a cameo in Jathi Ratnalu earlier this year. He is also set to collaborate with filmmaker Sukumar for an untitled project after the latter finishes his work on the Pushpa duology.
