Hiphop Tamizha Adhi’s Meesaya Murukku 2 has maintained a steady run at the box office as it enters the latter half of its opening week. The film, which delivered a strong opening weekend, witnessed a moderate dip on its first Tuesday but continued to draw audiences across theatres.

The film has grossed Rs 27.35 crore worldwide in five days, including Rs 22.60 crore from India and Rs 4.75 crore from overseas. Its India net collection stands at Rs 19.35 crore. On Day 5, Tuesday, Meesaya Murukku 2 grossed Rs 2.70 crore and collected Rs 2.35 crore net across 1,660 shows, recording an overall occupancy of 30%.

Tamil Nadu remains the film’s primary market, contributing Rs 2.50 crore to Tuesday’s gross. Karnataka added Rs 13 lakh, Kerala Rs 5 lakh, Andhra Pradesh and Telangana Rs 1 lakh, while the rest of India contributed Rs 2 lakh. The film’s Tamil Nadu gross has now reached Rs 20.40 crore in five days.

The Tuesday numbers mark a decline from the film’s Rs 3.10 crore gross on Monday, in line with the weekday trend. However, Meesaya Murukku 2 has remained above the Rs 2.5 crore mark on both Monday and Tuesday after registering its highest single-day gross of Rs 7.30 crore on Sunday.

The film had opened with Rs 3.85 crore on Friday before rising to Rs 5.65 crore on Saturday and Rs 7.30 crore on Sunday. With Rs 19.35 crore in India net collections and Rs 27.35 crore in worldwide gross collections after five days, the film has maintained a consistent theatrical run through its opening week.

Hiphop Tamizha Adhi, who serves as a writer, composer, and lyricist on the film, also directs the film. The cast, which is headlined by Adhi, also includes Ketika Sharma, Chaithra J Achar, Ramya Ranganathan, Baba Baskar, Harshath Khan, Nasser, and Karunaas. The story of the film centres on the struggles of three musicians over different time periods as they fight societal limits to establish their footing.
