Meesaya Murukku 2 box office day 1: The drama flick, Meesaya Murukkku 2, has performed well on the opening day of its theatrical run. Hiphop Tamizha has written, directed, and headlined the film, alongside composing and penning the lyrics.
According to box office tracker Sacnilk, Meesaya Murukkku 2 has collected Rs 3.30 crores (nett) and Rs 3.85 crores (gross) on its opening day. The film opened alongside other Tamil releases like Karthik Subburaj's Dorothy, and the Gangai Amaran-starrer Lenin Pandiyan.
The cast of the film also includes Ketika Sharma, Chaithra J Achar, Ramya Ranganathan, Baba Baskar, Harshath Khan, Nasser, and Karunas. The film is explores the struggles of three musicians over different time periods as they fight societal limits to establish their footing.
Meesaya Murukku (2017) was Adhi's directorial debut, and was a semi-autobiographical story based on his early ventures into independent music.
