On Tuesday, Sun Pictures dropped another song from their upcoming film Jailer 2, starring Rajinikanth. Titled 'One Name,' the song's starting piece of music, with the humming 'Sera Se Cosera,' is also featured in the recently released glimpse for the upcoming film. Much like the second single from the film, titled 'One Sun One Moon,' the latest track serves as a hero elevation song for Rajinikanth's character Muthuvel Pandian. A part of the lyrics goes, "One name to rule the game," alluding to Rajinikanth's longstanding superstardom.

'One Name' has composition by Anirudh, vocals of many singers including the music director himself, and lyrics by Super Subu. Additional vocalists include Yogisekar, Jagadeesh Kumar, Balraj, Sridhar Sena, Shenbagaraj, and Govind Prasad. A part of the song in the lyric video is blended with a portion from the 'Hukum' track from 2023's Jailer, to which the upcoming film serves as a sequel. The video also features behind-the-scenes footage from the film, with Rajinikanth's character clad in bloodied clothing.

Jailer 2 also stars Ramya Krishnan, Shivarajkumar, Yogi Babu, Jaffer Sadiq, Vinayakan, and Mirnaa, who return from the 2023 original. Meanwhile, the new additions to the cast include Vijay Sethupathi, SJ Suryah, Vidya Balan, Anna Rajan, Hakkim Shah, Bagavathi Perumal, Meghana Raj, Shamna Kasim, and Jatin Sarna.

Reportedly, Mohanlal is also expected to come back for the Jailer sequel, reprising his role as an underworld don. Reports also link Shah Rukh Khan, Hrithik Roshan, and Mithun Chakraborty with the film.

Jailer 2's technical team also includes editor R Nirmal, cinematographer Vijay Kartik Kannan, art director DRK Kiran, costume designers Pallavi Singh and Muthul Hafeez, and stunt choreographer Chethan D'Souza. The film is set for an October 15 release in theatres worldwide.
