For a while now, there have been reports about Ram Pothineni starring in Dharman, Ashwath Marimuthu's film headlined by Rajinikanth and backed by Kamal Haasan. Several reports suggested that the actor plays Raashi Khanna's love interest in the film, thereby making him Rajinikanth's son-in-law. Some other reports suggested he will be seen as the antagonist. However, the makers were yet to officially confirm the casting.

On Tuesday, Raashi Khanna took to her official Instagram handle to not only drop an update on the film's production but also share behind-the-scenes photos, confirming Ram Pothineni's casting in the film. Previously, at the Anbil Avan pre-release event, Ashwath said that the film's fourth schedule will take place in Mysuru, from where Raashi has shared the photos.

The very first photo features her alongside Ram and Rajinikanth in active wear after completing a workout. Also featured in the carousel are photos of Mysore Masala Dosa, one from the set with folk dancers, her decked-up look, and her playing Uno with some friends. She wrote, "A little glimpse into the world I have been living in for a while now in Mysore. Early morning workouts with Rajini Sir and Ram, because apparently the day starts before the day starts. A little temple hopping, a little wandering, some UNO and lots of laughter. And yes, the Mysore dosa deserved its own moment."

The film is produced by Kamal Haasan under his Raaj Kamal Films International banner, alongside R Mahendran of Turmeric Media. Besides Rajinikanth, Ram Pothineni and Raashii Khanna, the film also stars Simran and Yogi Babu. It brings Rajinikanth and Simran back together for another collaboration after 2019's Petta.

The film will feature Rajinikanth as the "deadly doctor". On the technical front, Dharman has composer Anirudh, cinematographer Niketh Bommi, editor Pradeep E Ragav, art director Karthik Rajkumar, and stunt choreographer Anbariv. A release date for the film is yet to be announced by the makers.
