Gautham Ram Karthik-starrer Bloody Politics, directed by debutant Dhina Raghavan, has unveiled its teaser. The political thriller, which has been generating curiosity since the release of its title announcement glimpse, features an ensemble cast including Selvaraghavan and P Vasu. The teaser was launched by actor Vijay Sethupathi on Saturday.

The 107-second teaser introduces Gautham Ram Karthik as an aggressive youngster with aspirations of becoming a politician. With Gautham's character named Ilaya, and dialogues hinting at popularity converting to votes, the teaser also suggests that the film may indirectly address CM Vijay's political journey. Selvaraghavan plays a senior ruthless politician in the film.

Bloody Politics is directed by Dhina Raghavan, who previously worked as an associate with filmmaker Raju Murugan. The film explores grassroots-level politics in a South Chennai locality and has earlier been described as a realistic account of the lives and local politics of its people.

Produced by Ganesh K Babu under Draft by GKB, with Sanjay Muthukumar V serving as co-producer, the film also stars Anchana Nethrun, Robbie, A Venkatesh, Maaran, Indhumathi, VIS Jayapalan, Aditya Kathir and Bakkiyam Sankar, among others. Raju Murugan has penned the dialogues, while Sam CS has composed the music. Pratheep Kaliraja is the cinematographer, Deepak S is the editor and Tha Ramalingam is the art director.

The makers are expected to announce details regarding the film's trailer, audio launch and worldwide theatrical release soon.
