Many have spoken about Vijay leaving his career in cinema for politics after establishing himself as a big star and leaving behind a massive paycheck. This is something Vijay himself touched upon when he announced his retirement from cinema for a full-time political career. Vijay has said that politics is not a hobby for him and that he is deeply committed to serving the public. The sentiment has been echoed by the actor-turned-chief minister's fans, well wishers, political supporters, and so on. The latest to talk about it is actor Ram Charan.
At a promotional event for his upcoming film Peddi, Ram Charan said, "I want to congratulate our honourable Tamil Nadu CM Joseph Vijay garu. He has come to public service when at the peak of his career and stardom. Being a film industry person, I am very proud about it. And I would like to congratulate the people of Tamil Nadu and Vijay sir."
Ram Charan and Vijay have never shared screen space on any film as yet. There was some speculation about the RRR and Rangasthalam star making a cameo in Vijay's Leo, although it did not materialise.
Vijay has taken charge as the Chief Minister of Tamil Nadu and has been having many visitors at his secretariat office from the film fraternity. Many of his early administrative decisions have been met with praise and some criticism. His final film Jana Nayagan is yet to hit theatres.
On the other hand, Ram Charan is awaiting the release of his film Peddi, directed by Buchi Babu Sana. The film stars Ram as an athlete, a wrestler, and a cricket player. There is massive anticipation for the release of the film thanks to its budget and his physical transformation for the role.
