Nadodigal-fame Abhinaya, who was last seen in Carmeni Selvam, is gearing up for the release of her next, Irattaiyar. On Monday, the film's makers announced that the film will open in theatres on June 5. The film marks the directorial debut of Jagdish.
As per the official press note from the makers, the film is a psychological thriller revolving around the bond between a mother and her twin daughters. An accident causes the life of their father, while their mother, Abhinaya, ends up with a disfigured face. Following her return home after plastic surgery, she starts exhibiting strange behaviour that affects the lives of the twin girls.
A poster of the film features an angry Abhinaya trying to open a garage door, with the twins on the other side putting all their effort into closing it. In another poster she is seen sitting with rage having tied up the twins. Anumitha and Anushitha play the twins in the film. Subramaniya Siva and Sangeetha also play important roles.
